Job Description:
At Caterpillar's East Peoria, IL facility, we manufacture and assemble Track Type Tractors. In this role as a Quality Manager, you will report to the Senior Quality Manager and will be primarily responsible for analyzing customer requirements, defines specifications for products and services, and develops quality control processes to review and ensure compliance with quality standards. As a member of the Quality Management team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. What you will do:
Provide Quality leadership for Fabrication, Machining & Paint Operations
Act as Senior, Principal Quality Engineer
Sets priorities and recommend solutions to support production requirements
Leads cross functional team to solve complex quality issues
Lead/Support quality initiatives (Built in Quality, Lean, Defect Free, APQP..etc)
Manage Disposition of non-conforming material through analysis of defects and root cause identification
Proficient in MS office package & Powerbi
Degree Requirement:
Degree or equivalent experience desired

Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. Level Extensive Experience: • Interprets results of quantitative and statistical tools and explains results to others. • Communicates key benefits of a quality management process. • Conducts and directs quality reviews. • Develops expertise in quality assurance tools, techniques, and standards. • Develops quality assurance processes based on Six Sigma, ISO 9000, CQMS principles. • Develops programs for motivating employees to meet or exceed quality goals.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Level Extensive Experience:
Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Quality Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for Quality Risk Management; ability to implement the quality assurance process of assessment, control, communication, and review of risks to the quality of products.
Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Expert with GD&T and Metrology Equipment (Vision Systems, CMM, 3D laser & Blue light Scanners)

Summary Pay Range: $123,480.00 - $185,280.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
