Job Description
The Mining Marketing Director leads the mining marketing team in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive engagement, advocacy, and demand for Caterpillar mining products, services, and solutions. This role serves as the primary liaison between Mining and other business unit marketing teams, playing a pivotal role in global marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities include overseeing digital and in-person experiences such as customized dealer programs, mining trade shows, customer visits, and training programs.
Collaborating with product managers and regional sales teams, the Mining Marketing Director identifies critical marketing needs and guides the creation of tailored, region-specific solutions.
The team, under the Director's supervision, will create an annual plan for key customer events, manage the marketing budget, execute global initiatives, and enhance marketing programs focusing on electrification and sustainability. The role also ensures the integration of existing product campaigns, new product launches, and internal marketing efforts into major events, aligning the mining sustainability message with the overall go-to-market strategy.
Key goals include upholding Caterpillar's Mining brand integrity and positioning Caterpillar as a trusted partner offering impactful solutions for the mining industry while supporting sustainability objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborates cross-functionally and develops comprehensive brand positionings, messaging, creative, and program executions that prioritize customer acquisition, retention, and growth, putting the customer at the center of all communication touchpoints.
• Develops and leads the Mining Marketing team while fostering a high-performance/highly engaged culture.
• Leverages continuous analysis of the marketplace and customer trends; provides insight, recommendations, and strategies based on insight.
• Creates and manages the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation; and continuously optimizes marketing efforts to drive improved business results.
• Prepares periodic business reviews and market assessments to influence decision-making, track results, and improve business performance.
• Communicate with key company stakeholders to promote collaboration between different groups
• Provides customer focused vision, strategy and leadership that exceeds customer expectations.
• Teaches others to foster customer relationships based on mutual understanding, respect, trust and 'business partnering'.
• Develops 'best practices' to create, evaluate and enhance customer loyalty that are sought by others within and outside the organization.

What you will have:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering or Business from an accredited university.
• 15+ years of overall experience in Marketing or Project Management.

Additional Information:
• This position will be located in Tucson, AZ. Domestic relocation is offered for the position.

Summary Pay Range:
$181,800.00 - $272,640.00
