Job Summary:
Assist planning, organization, and support daily operations of all Art/Photography studios and coordination of all tasks and activities relating to the exhibitions and showings of Collin College Arts Frisco Campus. Supervise student assistants and students utilizing the Art, Photography, and Small Metals studios.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist students in use of studio/gallery equipment and materials.
Assist with the arrangement, installation and de-installation of artwork displayed during library exhibition.
Assist with exhibition receptions, including Plant Operations setup, refreshments, and media requests.
Assist with distribution of Public Relations collateral.
Open and close studios according to official schedule.
Monitor use of studio equipment and materials and assure they remain in the studios.
Assist students, staff members and professors in photography studio with setup of equipment, as needed.
Supervise and train student assistants. Assist art/photography lab coordinators with hiring of new student assistants.
Facilitate communication between the ARTS/PHTC professors and associate deans as needed, to support effective studio functioning.
Maintain an adequate stock of required equipment and supplies. Assist with maintenance of inventory of supplies, determine user needs, and provide art/photography lab coordinators with the supply requests.
Ensure supplies are organized and accessible according to department requirements.
Report to associate deans, dean, and art/photography coordinators regarding studio operations on an ongoing basis.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment.
Occasional physical effort required.
Requirements
Associate degree from an accredited institution. One (1) year related work experience. One (1) year supervisory experience.
Equivalency Language
High School diploma/GED and two (2) additional years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
