The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on General Rehabilitation. Applicants must have an M.D., D. O. or equivalent degree. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Teaching responsibilities include teaching and mentoring of Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
Clinical responsibilities may include working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients. This role will include attending physician for a comprehensive integrated inpatient service, consult service and outpatient programs. Applicants must possess broad clinical skills in managing outpatients with spine and musculoskeletal disorders as well as inpatients with disabling conditions.
Selected candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to effectively lead our interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Candidates should have strong clinical training, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to furthering our clinical services and advancing our academic missions. As an academic faculty member, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide outstanding teaching and mentoring for Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
