The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pulmonary and critical care, primarily in lung transplantation as an attending on the inpatient and outpatient services, as well as providing services in the outpatient transplant clinic. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicant should be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff and medical students. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include consultation, evaluation, and management of outpatient and inpatient lung transplant candidates and recipients within the health system on a growing lung transplant service. Selected candidates will have experience working with advanced practice providers and trainees.
