The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine/ Stanford Medicine Children's Health is recruiting an experienced full-time, or part-time Pediatric Hospitalists to cover community hospitals in the surrounding San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate will join the Division as a Clinician Educator as a(n) Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is the one of the fastest growing pediatric Divisions at Stanford University. We are not only looking to positively impact children's health in Palo Alto, but also the region. We have 70+ physicians managing sick children throughout 6 different hospitals in the area. When we are not active with patient care, our Hospitalists hold many leadership roles throughout various hospital committees to help ensure we are providing safe and excellent clinical and patient-centered care.
We offer diverse clinical experiences ranging from covering patients in the NICU, PICU, Acute Care, ED, Nursery, and the L&D room. Depending on your clinical preference, we will likely have a program that will fit your wants. Our community programs are located in the San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Watsonville, and Pleasanton areas. Day and night time positions are available. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Clinical Instructor: $207,000 - $233,000
Clinical Assistant Professor: $244,000 - $270,000
Clinical Associate Professor: $287,000 - $314,000
Clinical Professor: $332,000 - $376,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine's faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
