Major/Essential Functions
Provides support as needed by Chair and Administrator.
Coordinates special projects.
Collects and compiles data for special reports, such as Post Tenure Review, Tenure and Promotion, and Faculty Evaluations.
Maintains records as required for Southern Association of Colleges and School (SACS) for accreditation.
Has a high degree of contact with HSC faculty and administration. Therefore, must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of personnel and represent the department in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide support to graduate students in completion of their Ph.D. degrees.
Work with the GSBS office in facilitating the needs of the students in the BCMB concentration.
Facilitate the seminar series for the department including scheduling seminars, arranging the rooms, posting flyers, and providing refreshments.
Must be able to coordinate assignments and establish priorities as well as work effectively under pressure.
Must have the skills to work independently and have advanced knowledge of office practices and methods and have outstanding grammatical skills.
Must be able to exercise sound judgment in new or unusual circumstances.
Must handle confidential material in an ethical and professional manner.
