Where you come in:
As a Staff Planner, you will be at the forefront of supporting the creation and execution of critical projects that drive our global supply chain strategy. In this role, you will:
Contribute to the Development of Strategic Plans: Support supply chain leadership by providing analysis and evaluations of scenarios for the strategic planning process to guide long-term decision-making and investments for material and equipment. Utilize a systems-thinking approach to develop global supply chain strategies that optimize network performance, ensuring seamless synchronization across all supply chain nodes.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks across the global supply chain to ensure capacity, material availability, and on-time delivery.
Supply Chain Planning: Analyze future requirements and work cross-functionally to ensure supply availability as part of the long-range capacity planning process. Provide inputs to support product launches and obsolescence planning, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with global planning, operations, strategic sourcing, contract manufacturing management, engineering, finance, and other teams to analyze, assess trade-offs, and develop comprehensive supply chain strategies.
Data Analysis and Modeling: Perform process and data modeling for supply chain strategy scenarios using inputs from functional leaders and internal business partners. Provide data analysis to help develop business cases and build cross functional consensus, and present proposals to leadership for projects with recommended implementation plans
System Testing: Participate in unit testing and UAT testing for system improvements and deployments as part of Dexcom digital transformation efforts for supply chain operations
Continuous Improvement: Provide support in the development of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to business process optimization initiatives, expanding on current business use cases to create a connected planning ecosystem in a highly collaborative environment.

Planning Proficiency: Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of supply planning principles and fundamentals, ensuring effective management of inventory, capacity, and supply chain processes.
Your Problem-Solving Skills: You identify problem statements considering overall goals and strategic objectives and execute strategy, managing through obstacles and ambiguity with support from Supply Chain leadership. You understand complex supply chains, define current situations & challenges, and propose solutions to reduce costs, lead-time, risks, and improve productivity.
Your Communication Skills: You have experience following a structured communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience communicating analysis, insights, and updates.
Your Technical Proficiency: You have advanced Excel modeling skills and experience utilizing Supply Chain Systems such as Anaplan, Oracle EBS/Oracle Fusion, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder (JDA), SAP IBP, and o9. You also collaborate effectively with Analytics BI team members to develop tools in systems such as Anaplan, Tableau, and Power BI.
You are Adaptable: You adjust easily to a dynamic, constantly evolving environment while promoting a collaborative atmosphere where team members can share ideas and work together to achieve common goals. You can work both independently and collaboratively with direct team members and business partners in a hybrid work environment.
Your Analytical Mind: You possess excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. You can synthesize information and think critically and creatively to identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
Your Organization and Prioritization Skills: You effectively prioritize and complete tasks to meet deadlines, and you are organized and process oriented with an ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and leadership requests.
Preferred:
ASCM, CSCMP, ISCEA or related supply chain certification a plus
Experience working closely with BI team members to develop tools in Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Work experience in a regulated industry and/or global manufacturer

Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of related industry experience.
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
