For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $118,400 - $177,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date) , opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an experienced Software Sales professional in our
Chicago, IL location, supporting our ProLeit Corp. subsidiary. This is a great opportunity to work
within a small growing entity in the field of industrial automation as part of the larger Schneider Electric corporation.

What will you do?


  • Developing Commercial Action Plans for assigned market and/or accounts to nurture

  • Planning and driving value and demand creation action to obtain leads and convert them opps

  • Understand competitive analysis and determine action plans accordingly

  • Understand accounts business needs, challenges and DMUs

  • Leads total quotation process in coordination with tendering team

  • Covering new customers; increase penetration of assigned target markets.

  • Generate healthy pipelines and sales funnels (with his/her team) to achieve order's goal

  • Drive new business for software sales in the USA and Canada

  • Maintain current client relationship and identify new areas and projects for potential clients

  • Contact potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them

  • Support offer creation and trade shows

  • Research the latest in the industry and create new opportunities to expand business

  • Collaborate with sales and design teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals

  • Train junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectations

  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as our business position and competitors

  • Enforce relation and tie in into the SE NAM Sales team

  • Find and develop potential for integration with AVEVA offering

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • More than 5 years experience in sales

  • Experience in software sales for industrial automation

  • Preferably working from Chicago
