BIOTRONIK Neuro is looking to add a Commercial Sales Analyst to our Neuromodulation Segment. The Commercial Sales Analyst will provide analytical support and operational insights to optimize the commercial processes within our medical device manufacturing organization. This role involves collaborating with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and other internal teams to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and drive data-driven decision-making. The position offers flexibility with a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work, with a preference for candidates based in the Greater Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. The role will also include responsibilities for data entry and maintenance to help become more familiar with the company's data environment.
Your Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze sales data, customer trends, and operational performance to identify opportunities for process improvements and growth.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall commercial performance.
Provide actionable insights to support sales forecasting, demand planning, and pricing strategies.
Data Entry & Maintenance:
Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain key commercial data across internal systems.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing regular data validation and cleanup tasks.
Become familiar with the company's data environment and business systems to gain a comprehensive understanding of how data supports commercial operations.
Process Optimization:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in commercial operations and recommend solutions to improve productivity and streamline workflows.
Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of commercial systems (e.g., CRM, ERP) to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
Support process standardization and automation efforts to improve consistency and speed in sales and operations.
Sales Support:
Assist the sales team by providing analytical tools and reports to help improve sales performance and decision-making.
Monitor and evaluate sales metrics to provide insights on territory performance, sales targets, and resource allocation.
Provide operational support to sales leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Forecasting & Budgeting:
Support sales forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with the company's goals.
Assist in monitoring the performance against budget and help adjust commercial plans to meet financial targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure smooth and efficient commercial operations.
Act as a liaison to ensure that commercial initiatives are aligned with broader organizational objectives, especially around inventory management and production scheduling.
Compliance & Regulatory Support:
Ensure that commercial operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Assist in maintaining proper documentation for regulatory audits and internal controls.
Sales Territory Optimization:
Analyze sales territory performance and recommend strategies for optimizing territory assignments to maximize coverage and drive sales.
Use data to assess current territory structures, identify potential improvements, and support reallocation or restructuring initiatives.
Collaborate with Sales leadership to evaluate territory performance and ensure equitable distribution of opportunities across teams.
Quota Model Optimization & Sales Quota Management:
Design, manage, and optimize sales quota models to ensure alignment with business objectives and fair distribution of targets across the sales team.
Regularly analyze sales performance versus quota to assess the effectiveness of current models and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Work with Sales and Finance teams to ensure quotas are properly set, communicated, and tracked, and that any changes are well-documented.
Your Profile
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean is a plus.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in commercial operations, business analysis, or sales operations, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry.
Experience with ERP, CRM, or similar systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and managing large datasets.
Knowledge of medical device industry regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO) is a plus.
Bonus: Experience with data visualization tools, such as Qlik, and/or data management tools like Smartsheet is a strong plus.
