The Nebraska Department of Justice / Nebraska Attorney General's Office is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Attorney General ("AAG") in the Office's Legal Services Bureau.

The AAG will provide legal counsel and representation to assigned state officials, agencies, boards, and commissions and assist in enforcement of the public records and open meetings statutes. Excellent legal writing and oral communication skills are required.



Requirements/ Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school and a license to practice law in Nebraska, or clear ability to be licensed in Nebraska by motion. Excellent legal writing skills and demonstrated work ethic.



Preferred Qualifications: Judicial clerkship or one or more years of experience in a private law firm or government agency.

Salary and Benefits:



Salary commensurate with comparable state agency positions and candidate experience. Full-time state benefits available.
