Boeing's Space, Intelligence and Weapons System Production Engineering team is seeking highly motivated, creative and results driven Multi-Skill Engineering Managers to serve as team leads out of Huntsville, AL.
These positions will work closely with the operations, engineering, and quality teams to identify, justify and implement processes and equipment to improve the manufacturing capability of the Huntsville site as well as to assure equipment readiness for production. These positions will serve as the lead to ensure that plans are created and executed to identify and implement process and technology improvement.
The ideal candidates will have a background in lean manufacturing and successful implementation of manufacturing capability improvement projects and experience in successful equipment readiness programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Leads team responsible for test, evaluation, and defect reduction.
Leads team responsible for automated equipment and associated processes used in the assembly and testing of circuit cards.
Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
Make recommendations for technology investments
Leads team responsible for Managing Capital Projects for Huntsville production Engineering.
Leads team responsible for Managing Production Engineering Projects that improve use of lean manufacturing principles.
Lead and Coach the Production Engineering team in project implementation.
Leads team responsible for assuring equipment readiness and uptime.
Auditing to identify areas where assets do not have a regimented plan (as defined above) and resolve or escalate the issue.
Informing decisions on maintenance systems to be used, maintenance services to be purchased, fiscally responsible spare parts inventory levels, ...
Lead and Coach the Production Engineering team in equipment readiness, downtime reduction and preventive maintenance.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Huntsville, AL site.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $129,200 - 174,800
