TOOLROOM JOURNEYMAN - 3rd SHIFT
This hourly skilled position ensures our customers receive a quality die cast product by maintaining the casting and trim dies through proper preventive care and regular maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Performs routine maintenance on casting and trim dies in the toolroom or on the production floor.
Tears down dies for maintenance and refurbishment.
Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine and grinder to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to Quality required specifications.
Uses stoning tools and other pneumatic or hydraulic tools to repair pins, cavities, dies, etc.
Performs general welding for repairs and maintenance.
Uses sandblasting equipment to clean cavities.
Demonstrates good organization skills.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours and overtime (OT) as assigned.
Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Certifications/Licenses: Journeyman or CNC Apprenticeship Certification.
Experience: Two years machine shop related experience to include pneumatics, hydraulics, and hoist/crane controls; four years die casting and/or punch forming preferred.
Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment.
