The Department of Mathematics has 25 tenure system faculty, 18 professional faculty, 50-60 graduate students, and about 150 majors. Our graduate degree offerings include a Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.S. degrees, as well as Math Education options. Position Overview
The UNT Mathematics Department is seeking applications for a full-time lecturer position to begin in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching four courses/sections each semester during the academic year, primarily focusing on entry-level college mathematics courses. Additionally, the lecturer may have the opportunity to teach co-requisite pathway courses designed for students needing extra support to achieve college readiness. Employment offers for this position are contingent upon the availability of funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess a master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field by August 2025, including a minimum of 18 semester credit hours of graduate coursework with a MATH or STAT prefix. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of experience teaching college-level mathematics courses.
