POSITION SUMMARY:

The Advisor to the Director will be working with datasets for SIEPR key strategic initiatives, work closely with other researchers to help develop models for key strategic initiatives and coordinate with both external and internal stakeholders to help develop and run processes on various strategic initiatives.
CORE DUTIES:
    Prioritize and extract data from a variety of both public and private sources.Determine additional data collection and reporting requirements.Design and customize reports based upon data in the database. Oversee and monitor regulatory compliance for utilization of the data.Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and justify solutions to be implemented by others.Create complex charts and databases, perform statistical analyses, and develop graphs and tables for publication and presentation.Serve as a resource for non-routine inquiries such as requests for statistics or surveys.Test prototype software and participate in approval and release process for new software.Provide documentation based on audit and reporting criteria to investigators and research staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Ability to work closely with PhD-level researchers in building large, complex economic models.Strong knowledge of both federal and housing state policyProven ability to run process on an initiative the requires the input of policymakers, academics, and those in industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
    Sitting in place at computer for long periods of time with extensive keyboarding/dexterity.Occasionally use a telephone.Rarely writing by hand.

The expected pay range for this position is $104,358 - $110,000 annum.Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities, relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, performance; as well as other business and organization needs such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the minimum qualifications, departmental budget availability, and market and internal equity across the unit, department and reporting relationships.At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
