Description:
The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of basic and translational research in pediatric sarcomas. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and research training of medical students, graduate students, residents, medical fellows in pediatric hematology/oncology or related disciplines, and post-doctoral fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include serving as attending physician on the dedicated solid tumor inpatient service and providing outpatient care to children, adolescents and young adults with sarcomas and other extracranial solid tumors.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include directing an independent NIH-funded research program focused on basic and translational research in pediatric sarcomas. Candidates should have a track record of successful extramural funding. Applicants in mid-career are encouraged to apply.
