Location: Johns Creek, GA

Description: Our client is currently seeking a full-time, Certified Medical Assistant in Alpharetta, Georgia. A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing both administrative and clinical support to medical providers. This role requires a combination of technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strong commitment to patient care.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Scheduling and managing patient appointments


• Handling patient check-in and check-out processes


• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records


• Processing insurance claims and handling billing inquiries


• Managing medical supplies and inventory


• Taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate)


• Assisting with medical examinations and procedures


• Preparing patients for examinations and treatments


• Administering medications as directed by a physician


• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens


• Performing basic laboratory tests (e.g., urinalysis, rapid strep tests)


• Assisting with minor procedures (e.g., wound care, injections)

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program


• Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)


• Experience: Prior experience in a medical office setting required


• Primary Care experience (REQUIRED)


• BLS Certified (REQUIRED)


• Allscripts EMR experience (preferred but if not, they will be trained on it)


• Strong organizational and time management skills


• Proficiency in medical terminology and coding


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team


• Basic computer skills, including electronic health record (EHR) systems
