Job Summary

The Electrical Drafter will be responsible for preparing3D models and 2D drawings for the design of complex offshore/onshore electricalsystems utilizing E3D Design and Draw modules and CAD software.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings for assignedprojects from information supplied and/or verbal instructions with little or nosupervision required;

• Edit drawings and incorporate changes fromprovided markups and/or verbal instructions;

• Review information received from design teammembers, question inconsistencies, apparent errors, and omissions;

• Perform corrections to the following drawings:P&ID's, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, Panel Layouts, E&I Details, andLoop Diagrams;

• Interact with design team and clients forresolving drafting/design related issues;

• Ensure that all drawings adhere to Client,Industry and Company Standards;

• Responsible for keeping Project Leads updated onany and all concerns relating to their respective assignments;

• Design or create electric area classification plansand details;

• Size and/or select correctly sized cablefittings;

• Select cables based on specifications, uses andload;

• Route cables in cable tray systems using cableschedules;

• Calculate cable tray fill;

• Calculate voltage drop;

• Calculate conduit and fittings size;

• Calculate lighting requirements, design andcreate lighting plans;

• Create tray routing Plans;

• Create electrical equipment Plan drawings usingGA's, piping plans, etc.

• Create Electrical Installation Details usingengineering data sheets;

• Assist engineering with layout and designelectrical rooms;

• Design grounding systems & installationdetails;

• Design electrical one-lines from P&ID's andequipment list;

• May design electrical schematic diagrams;

• May design electrical block diagrams;

• May design electrical wiring diagrams;

• May design and detail control panels / junctionboxes;

• Assign and monitor design & drafting tasksif needed in the creation of electrical drawings.

• May check electrical drawings;

• May perform as lead or sub-lead on projects;

• May monitor progress and aid with preparation ofprogress reports

• May read and interpret vendor drawings;

• May integrate vendor supplied equipment intoproject drawings;

• Perform field work as required to obtainaccurate information and create sketches for the design of the project.Duration determined by the project requirements and project management.

• Maintain project files and folders and followcompany standards.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of draftingand design experience relating to Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gasfacilities.

• Drafting/Design certification or Associates'level degree in drafting discipline preferred.

• Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suiteof products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Proficient with design software i.e. (AutoCAD, E3Dand Navisworks).

• Must have strong understanding of P&ID's.

• Must have strong knowledge of PLC and DCSsystems

• Must have a working knowledge of OSHA, NEMA,IEC, and ANSI standards.

• Must have working knowledge of API RP 500, APIRP 14F.

• Proficient with all pertinent sections ofElectrical Codes NEC and IEC.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment (Private, Semi-Private Office or office cubicle) but may alsorequire occasional travel to off-site work locations.

• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant oroffshore platform atmosphere.

• Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel.

• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels.

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection.

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes.

• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
