Job Description Summary


This position is based in the Penn Frontotemporal Degeneration Center, part of the Department of Neurology of the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. The purpose of this position is to coordinate essential longitudinal observational neurodegenerative disease research protocols in patients with early-onset neurodegenerative conditions such as frontotemporal degeneration, primary progressive aphasia, movement disorders such as progressive supranuclear palsy and associated neurodegenerative diseases, with a focus on patients who are mutation carriers. The job functions include contacting patients/caregivers to schedule research visits, organizing and coordinating research visits, performing cognitive testing, acquiring some imaging data, collecting some biofluids, assisting with shipment of biofluids, performing preliminary analyses of cognitive data, and uploading and maintaining clinical and cognitive databases to share data at Penn and within NIH consortium studies.


This position is contingent upon funding.




Job Description




The job functions include contacting patients/caregivers to schedule research visits, organizing and coordinating research visits, performing cognitive testing, acquiring some imaging data, collecting biofluids, assisting with shipment of biofluids, performing preliminary analyses of cognitive data, and uploading and maintaining clinical and imaging databases to share data at Penn and within NIH consortium studies.


Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Office, Library, Computer Room; Requires extensive safety

Typically sitting at a desk or table; Occasional lifting 25 lb. or less
