Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Processing, this position manages training and process documentation for the Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions Processing units, in addition to supervising student and support (temporary) staff. This position also serves as a backup for all Admissions Processing procedures and responsibilities, including residency and senior-level processing tasks. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Duties:
Staff Supervision - responsible for hiring, training, and supervising student and support staff (temporary staff, part-time hourly staff; both remote and in-person staff) under the processes set forth by the University HR department. This includes planning and assigning daily work, monitoring tasks, providing feedback, and maintaining work schedules.
Training - responsible for training new and current staff. Manage the Canvas training site and process documentation (including written material, online video, virtual trainings, and in-person training).
Strategic Planning and Assessment of Training - organize and strategically plan the ongoing training for current staff. Plan the training calendar in coordination with supervisors. Evaluate the efficacy of current training, identify additional training needs, plan delivery methodologies, evaluate additional methods of training, and how to shift resources to enhance training.
Processing Applications and Credentials - evaluate, review, and enter information into SIS systems in a timely and accurate manner. Includes daily document processing, especially during peak times, in addition to serving as a back-up for various office procedures including residency and senior-level processing tasks.
Other Assigned Duties - assist the Director and Assistant Directors with overall office organization and support, including but not limited to monitoring the accuracy of data entry, researching issues, and occasionally serving as a back-up for supervisory duties.
