Description:
The Department of Pathobiology at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine (Prof. J. Oriol Sunyer's group) is inviting applications for a research associate position to study the fish-microbiome. The main area of focus will be on the role of and the role of fish immunoglobulins in regulating microbiome homeostasis and metabolism. The successful applicant for this position will be expected to be proficient in fish microbiome analysis, fish immunology, FACS-sorting of fish microbiota, and fish bacterial transcriptome and metatranscriptome analysis.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and 4-5 years of post-doctoral experience. Salary will commensurate with the candidate's training and experience.
