Position Summary:

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is recruiting an academic Surgical Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The position is an addition to our current faculty group and will involve diagnostic surgical pathology, with a primary focus on Genitourinary Pathology. This position requires expertise in all aspects of Genitourinary Pathology; experience with adrenal resections and biopsies is also preferred. The faculty member will participate in multidisciplinary tumor board and maintain effective communication with a very active clinical care team. The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, with collaborations available for clinical translational and team research. Regular opportunities are available for teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

MD or DO degree, be board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Genitourinary fellowship training and/or sign out experience in Genitourinary Pathology is strongly preferred.
