Social Worker to provide support and services to the children and teachers in Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms; collaborate with teachers, administrators, and the multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive support plans for students; conduct assessments to identify children's needs and appropriate services or referrals; design and implement program practices responsive to the identified behavioral and mental health concerns of an individual child or group of children; promote children's mental wellness by providing group and individual staff and parent education on mental health issues; assist in providing help for children with atypical behavior or development; utilize other community mental health resources, as needed; provide general child and family advocacy; employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with program goals and philosophy; participate in research and quality assurance programs; provide instructions and training to students and interns in the process of delivering services to the identified populations; assist with training of new staff; participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings. Must have personal transportation and a valid driver's license for travel within Franklin County.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. State of Ohio Social Work licensure - LSW licensure required. Experience with children and families is preferred. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
