One-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Printmaking

Description:


The Department of Art at Colby College invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning fall 2025. A completed M.F.A., a minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level, and an active record of creative scholarship are required. Four-course teaching load will consist of all levels of the traditional printmaking curriculum, which can include copper plate intaglio, relief, lithography, and monotype. Our preference will be toward candidates who also work and teach in one or more of the following related areas: digital printmaking and book arts. We also expect candidates to be well versed in and committed to using "green" methods and materials. Our facilities include a traditional printmaking studio, a bindery, and a dedicated library of art and music.




Qualifications:


A completed M.F.A., a minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level, and an active record of creative scholarship are required.
