The TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health at the University of Chicago develops, tests, and implements evidence-based interventions designed to promote very young children's cognitive and social-emotional development. TMW Center interventions are designed to be embedded into existing health, education, and social service systems working at scale in a given community in order to meet families where they already are. The TMW Center has a robust research and development strategy that includes further development and testing of TMW interventions; harnessing technology to support behavior change, intervention engagement, and analysis; and furthering strategies to engage parents in the TMW Center's interventions across the health, early learning, and social service sectors.
Job Summary
The Wearable Device Support Specialist coordinates the wearable device hardware work, aligning all teams (including contractors) on key decisions and priorities to ensure teams are delivering on expectations. Assists with the assembly of teams and the development of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports using straightforward problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
Serves as first point of contact for issue management and navigates issue submitter to the appropriate channels.
Manages the launch of support software to streamline and scale processes.
Manages TMW stakeholder communication for wearable device roadmap.
Shares technical release information with partner-facing teams about features and bugs that are being addressed.
Coordinates stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment on wearable device strategy across topics related to hardware, software, and data science algorithms.
Support QA efforts, including sanity testing for all apps.
Builds and maintains internal support documentation, including User Manual and Troubleshooting Guide.
Monitors project workplan and schedule.
Coordinates events, researches logistics, assists with planning and preparing presentations, event outreach, and post-event write ups.
Maintains website (including but not limited to: employment page, news page, staff page, project pages, innovation challenge page).
Assists with other administrative projects as needed and acquire higher level guidance and skills.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
