Company Overview: We are an innovative cookie production company expanding our operations to Statesville, NC. Our mission is to serve the world's best cookies, both locally and across the U.S. Our new facility will focus on producing high-quality cookies using semi-automated equipment to ensure efficiency and consistency. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead our production facility and help drive our vision forward.

Job Summary: The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of the production facility in Statesville, NC. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operations, from production to shipping. The ideal candidate will have experience with semi-automated equipment, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence. This position will play a critical role in scaling our production capabilities and expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the facility runs efficiently and meets production targets.
  • Production Oversight: Manage and optimize the use of semi-automated equipment to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain the highest quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure all products meet our high standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement long-term operational strategies that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Cost Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and identify areas for operational improvement and cost savings.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Oversee the shipping and distribution processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products across the U.S.
  • Market Expansion: Support efforts to expand into new markets, including Charlotte and nearby cities, by ensuring the facility can meet demand.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the food production or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with semi-automated production equipment is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
