Assists customers in opening deposit accounts, safe deposit boxes and IRAs according to company procedures
Responsible for closing accounts, initiating wire transfer requests, issuing and replacing debit cards, ordering checks, assisting with fraud disputes, helping customers with online and mobile banking and various other account maintenance requests.
Timely clears any account exceptions
Performs bank teller functions including cashing checks, making deposits and withdrawals, accepting loan payments, processing night drop and mail deposits, handling commercial currency exchanges and issuing cashier’s checks, money orders and temporary checks
Assists with ordering branch currency, processing branch currency shipments and balancing vaults, devices, coin machines and teller drawers
Follows all bank policies and procedures and complies with all applicable laws and regulations
Opens and closes bank branch according to security procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and sound judgment
Excellent communication skills to include listening, speaking, and writing in all situations
Ability to discern and effectively manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responding promptly to customer needs, while soliciting customer feedback to improve service
Ability to inspire the trust of others, while working confidentially, ethically, respectfully, and with integrity, regardless of cultural differences
Knowledge of safety and security procedures, reporting potentially unsafe conditions quickly
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Customer Service, Teller, and previous banking experience preferred
Working Conditions
May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time
May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
