Job Description:

The HR Generalist performs a wide range of HR-related duties including recruiting, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS administration, verification of employment, employee recognition, and supporting employment law compliance. This is an internal position to Archbright and reports to the HR Director, partnering widely in the organization with managers and staff.

This role can be done remotely for much of the work, but at times will be required to be onsite, likely 2-5 times a month.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Leads recruitment efforts in partnership with hiring managers including job description review, posting, phone screens, scheduling and offers. 

  • Conducts onboarding and offboarding needs onsite.

  • Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.  

  • Works extensively in HRIS  to maintain employee information, run reports, and review and implement new services. 

  • Supports both employees and managers as needed with employee relations 

  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans, COBRA, and more  

  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs

  • Administers protected leaves of absence and accommodation processes.

  • Internal training administration such as preparation for training, scheduling for training, and may include some internal training delivery.

  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Essential Qualifications for the Role: 


  • HR systems experience (HRIS, ATS, SharePoint, etc) and a high level of competency navigating digital programs and processes.

  • Demonstrated experience with
    • Employee relations

    • Recruiting

    • Knowledge of benefit plans and processes

    • Leaves of Absence management

  • Builds and sustains trusting professional relationships

  • High degree of discernment and confidentiality

  • Acts as consultant to employees and managers

  • Comfort with conflict. Persuades employees and managers in understanding company programs and initiatives.

Education and Experience: 


  • Required: Minimum 3+ years HR Generalist experience, including full cycle recruiting and benefits management

  • AA or bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education & experience

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:


  • Required: PHR or SHRM CP required. 

  • Preferred: SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred. 

Technical Skills:


  • Required:


  • Excellent MS Office Suite experience, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel

  • HR systems experience ( HRIS, ATS, SharePoint, etc) 

  • Preferred: NA

Compensation is paid hourly and classified as nonexempt due to Washington state salary threshold requirements.  The full compensation range for this position is $65,926-$92,287 ($31.70-$44.37 per hour).  The hiring range for this position is $71,196-$78,000 annually ($34.23-$37.50 per hour). Archbright Keystone is our Total Rewards program for our most valuable assets - our people.
