Job Description:

AP Professionals has partnered with a well-established, fast-growing local company where technology drives their operations, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Seeking a highly skilled hands-on IT Director to oversee all aspects of Information Technology, ensuring the technology infrastructure and business solutions support the company's continued growth. Work closely with leadership to develop and implement strategies that align technology with business objectives. 10+ years of IT experience coupled with 5+ in a leadership position are required.

This position is a full-time, direct hire role paying between $100-130K depending on experience. Candidates must be located within the Greater Rochester, NY area and are expected to work onsite. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

IT Leadership and Strategy:
  • Oversee all IT operations and develop a strategic IT roadmap to support growth and innovation.
  • Align IT initiatives with company goals, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
  • Act as a key advisor to leadership on technology opportunities and challenges.

Team and Vendor Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of IT professionals, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Manage IT contractors, vendors, and technology partners to ensure quality service delivery.

Applications Development:
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of custom applications, including ones that support integrations, payment processing, and other manufacturing and warehouse requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify application needs and prioritize development efforts.
  • Ensure applications are robust, scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with business requirements.

System Administration and Integration:
  • Manage, administer, enhance, and optimize key systems, including: ERP, e-commerce websites, data Warehouse and ETL connectors, PowerBI Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
  • Manage and enhance integrations between applications, and systems.

Infrastructure and Cloud Solutions:
  • Manage IT infrastructure and Desktop tools, including: Microsoft Azure, 365, and Teams, remote access solutions, internal wireless network and equipment, servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other inventory management and manufacturing equipment.

Information & Cyber Security:
  • Implement, maintain, and continually improve upon robust information and cybersecurity framework, standards, tools, processes, and protections.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including PCI Compliance and other standards.

End-User Support and Training:
  • Provide technical support for staff, resolving IT issues efficiently.
  • Train users on systems and promote technology and security best practices.

Project and Change Management:
  • Lead IT and development projects from conception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Support and help to mature Project Management processes, standards, and tools, as well as other Project Managers on business-requested projects.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for IT initiatives and application rollouts.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL.

Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in e-commerce, manufacturing, wholesale or retail, and fast-growing environments.
  • Expertise in managing an ERP and supplemental systems and integrations.
  • Expertise in e-commerce websites (preferably with Shopify).
  • Expertise in data management, analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Proven experience in applications development and managing development teams.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure, 365, Teams, and SaaS ERP solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, practices, and tools.
  • Track record of successfully managing IT teams, contractors, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
