Vaco is actively seeking a remote Windchill Developer for a direct-hire opportunity with a respected federal contractor focused on mission critical Department of Defense product design, development, and deployment objectives.
Please Note: This position will require hired employees to successfully pass a Top Secret - Level 1 investigation covering employment, criminal history, citizenship, financial status, foreign contacts, etc.
Position Summary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Evaluate business/technical requirements for Windchill and ThingWorx Navigate functionality, providing level-of-effort estimations to support sprint planning and costing.
Design, develop, and deploy custom solutions within Windchill & ThingWorx Navigate, including custom actions models, data cleansing utilities, configurable links, wizards, workflows, lifecycles, InfoEngine/QML/JAVA based reports, and OIRs.
Support integration projects between Windchill and other enterprise systems and applications.
Create and maintain custom Windchill & ThingWorx Navigate user interfaces.
Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, and system testing, ensuring application quality and functionality.
Debug and resolve complex application/customization defects and issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for customizations and configurations within Windchill & ThingWorx Navigate.
Provide training and support to end-users on custom Windchill functionalities.
Required Qualifications:
Top Secret Clearance or willingness to obtain upon hire.
PTC Certifications in Windchill a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Windchill PLM software.
Strong programming skills in Java, JSP, J2EE, XML, JSON, HTML5.
Knowledge of Windchill System & Business Administration, including security configurations.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong documentation and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with AWS is a plus.
Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 8 administration and shell scripting for Windchill implementations.
Experience with Windchill and ThingWorx Navigate licensure, installation, patching, and upgrades.
Ability to investigate and resolve Windchill performance-related issues.
