***Only qualified Test Analyst candidates located near the Columbus, OH area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Qualifications: • 5-7 years of experience testing Point of Sale systems • Experience testing with systems that integrate with Point-of-Sale systems • Experience identifying and writing test scenarios and test cases • Experience identifying test data and managing test data across test environments • Execution and statuses of test cases, including proof of testing • Clearly documents defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner • Partners with functional and technical partners in their domain • Experience with HP ALM / Quality Center, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools • Delivery experience on projects in Agile methodology • Functional Testing experience and conversant with ETL processes and tools • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive participation in Team environment • Effective documentation and communication skills • Demonstrates analytical skills to assist in solving problems and making decisions • Applies a systematic approach to data gathering and analysis to assist in making key decisions supported by facts
Preferred Qualifications: • Retail domain experience preferred • SQL knowledge in retail Domain is a nice to have • Reading/Speaking Spanish and French to translate on the POS is a plus
Must have skills: • Point of Sale/data validation experience • Experience writing and editing Test Scripts • Coordinating data validation with up and down stream systems
The Tester will be part of the Testing Center of Excellence. This position will be part of a high performing quality assurance team participating in the delivery of quality software. This role is responsible for performing testing activities in partnership with developers, business analysts, functional/product owners, and project managers, to verify code and check conformance to system requirements.
Responsibilities: • Participation in Test Scenario and Test Case identification • Creation and Maintenance of Test Scenarios and Test Cases (including steps and expected results) • Identification and Maintenance of Test Data • Execution of Functional Tests • Documentation of test execution utilizing HP ALM • Proactively identify functional, technical, and integration related defects • Perform preliminary trouble shooting of defects to facilitate quick resolution • Documentation of defects utilizing HP ALM • Effectively communicate issues and risks in addition to daily testing status to Team Lead or Test Lead
