We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Functional Retail Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing and configuring Dynamics 365 F&O with a focus on the retail sector. This role involves understanding business requirements, delivering solutions that align with client needs, and supporting the deployment of D365 solutions to optimize retail processes.
The candidate should possess strong knowledge of retail operations, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, merchandising, inventory management, and supply chain within the Dynamics 365 F&O ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze retail-specific requirements.
Conduct workshops to understand clients' retail processes, pain points, and objectives.
Solution Design
Design and configure solutions within Dynamics 365 F&O to optimize retail processes (e.g., POS, pricing, promotions, inventory, and supply chain).
Ensure solutions align with business goals and industry best practices.
System Implementation
Lead the implementation and configuration of Dynamics 365 F&O modules, including Retail, Inventory, and Finance.
Support the rollout of POS and other retail functionalities across client locations.
Customization & Integration
Collaborate with technical teams to specify requirements for customizations and integrations.
Ensure seamless integration between D365 F&O, external systems, and retail hardware (e.g., POS devices).
Testing & Training
Create test plans, conduct system testing, and validate solutions to meet client requirements.
Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring successful adoption of the system.
Post-Go-Live Support
Provide post-implementation support to resolve issues and optimize system performance.
Act as a subject matter expert for retail-related queries.
Documentation
Prepare comprehensive functional documentation, including business process workflows, functional designs, and training manuals.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with the latest Dynamics 365 updates and retail industry trends.
Recommend enhancements and innovations to improve client systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 15+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant implementing Dynamics 365 F&O.
Proven experience with Dynamics 365 Retail / Commerce modules (POS, store management, merchandising, pricing, etc.)- 10 years experience
Prior experience in retail operations, supply chain, or ERP solutions implementation.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of D365 Finance and Operations architecture and configuration.
Proficiency in retail processes: Point of Sale (POS), ecommerce, inventory management, promotions, and payment systems.
Knowledge of integration between D365 F&O and external systems, including hardware and e-commerce platforms.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Effective organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (preferred).
Additional D365 certifications related to retail and commerce are a plus.
