Architect II - Higher Education

Our client is seeking an experienced, licensed Architect to play a key role in translating design concepts into innovative, final solutions across a variety of project types. As a technical leader, you will oversee project quality, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and drive results within budget and schedule constraints. Your expertise in building systems, design integration, and project leadership will make you an essential contributor to their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee design documentation from initial concept through construction administration.
  • Ensure project details align with design intent and performance-based principles.
  • Manage technical components of projects, including code compliance, constructability, and systems integration.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering team growth and collaboration.
  • Utilize advanced design tools, including Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, to develop technical drawings and presentations.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and contract adherence.
  • Support client relationships through ongoing engagement and a commitment to delivering service excellence.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Active architectural license (NCARB registration and AIA membership a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of architectural experience with advanced knowledge of building systems, design processes, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction documentation.
  • Preferred experience with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and BSD Spec Link.
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, or CSI-CDT certification a plus (training provided as needed).
