Miami Federal is the economic arm of the federally recognized Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, supporting economic development for the Tribe. Position Overview:
Miami Stronghold seeks a General Manager (GM) of Construction to lead Federal projects, business development, operations, personnel, and ventures within the Miami Federal Construction & Environmental Group. The GM serves as a strategist, entrepreneur, and leader, driving profitability and project success while aligning efforts with Miami Federal's vision, mission, and goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead federal business development within the federal government's technology and logistics sectors.
Build and develop an operational leadership team.
Oversee project lifecycles, including planning, scheduling, strategic planning, issue resolution, and scope definition.
Develop and implement business strategies to achieve Miami Federal's goals.
Provide strategic guidance to the Miami Federal President of Construction and Environmental to align company strategy with market opportunities.
Prepare and oversee company budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and market development.
Communicate and enforce company policies, structure, and legal guidelines.
Ensure compliance with SBA 8(a) Business Development program requirements.
Oversee contract and subcontract management, ensuring timely, budget-conscious project delivery.
Monitor financial performance, recommend strategic investments, and identify business ventures to enhance profitability.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in federal government contracting operations and construction management.
8+ years of experience in federal government business development, with a focus on construction.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (MBA or M.S. in Engineering preferred).
Executive experience with 8(a) small business contracting (American Indian/Alaska Native cultural experience preferred).
Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively.
Proven experience in strategic and business planning.
In-depth knowledge of USACE, NAVFAC, and/or AFCEC programs.
Travel:
Travel up to 25% (project/client-specific).
