We are seeking an IT Project Manager to work on-site at our Brenham, TX location.
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of information technology projects, including defining project goals, creating detailed schedules, assigning tasks to team members, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, and to the required quality standards. Also, reports directly to IT Director.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management Framework Development:
Develop and implement a standardized project management framework, including templates, processes, and tools.
Define KPIs, workflows, and governance structures to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution.
Department Setup:
Establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO), aligning it with the company's strategic goals.
Develop roles, responsibilities, and team structures to support efficient project delivery.
Ongoing Project Analysis and Management:
Analyze current ongoing projects, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and stakeholder communication strategies.
Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, operational, and business units, to ensure seamless project execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and updates.
Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate project outcomes and apply lessons learned to refine processes and frameworks.
Stay updated with best practices in project management and incorporate them into the organization's methodology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in project management, with proven experience setting up PMO frameworks and managing complex projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (PMP or equivalent certification preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and strong analytical skills.
Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
Knowledge: Setting up a project management office for an Enterprise IT Organization.
