Position Overview
The Regional Human Resources Business Partner provides day-to-day HR support to both union and non-union manufacturing plants. Reporting to the Regional Human Resources Manager and partnering with centralized HR services in Talent Development, Talent Acquisition and People Operations, this role is responsible for informing and implementing talent and labor relations strategies in each facility.
Key Accountabilities
Labor and Employee Relations:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with union members, stewards, and union management committee.
Develop and maintain credible relationships with company management to align labor relations decisions and outcomes with business objectives
Become an expert on the collective bargaining agreement, handbook and policies in order to effectively interpret and administer them
Lead and resolve employee grievances, including conducting investigations, managing the formal grievance process, responding to employee concerns and providing guidance to managers
Lead, document and follow outcomes for monthly union management committee meetings
Prepare and participate in union contract negotiations, as needed
Talent Acquisition, Development and Retention:
Support and guide the completion of talent management practices including annual performance reviews, goal writing, individual development plans, annual talent review and succession planning for salaried employees in each facility
Analyze workforce analytics, recommend and implement tactics to support new hire retention and improve employee experience at each facility
Support and guide on the job training initiatives and leadership development offerings in partnership with the Talent Development team
Ensure a positive employee experience through the employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, and offboarding
Culture Development:
Serve as a point of contact for manufacturing plant staff to assist with daily HR related questions and needs
Actively champion programs such as employee wellness, employee onboarding and training, employee referral program, affirmative action plans, and more.
Actively support plant management in culture development, identifying ways to elevate the employee experience by designing and enhancing key moments along the employee lifecycle, actively engaging with all plant personnel, and implementing ways to bring the employee value proposition (known as MEE at Foremost Farms) to life.
Adheres to plant quality and food safety requirements and supports the need for monitoring and/or verifying control points and maintaining related required documentation. For example, Critical Control Points(CCP), Preventive Controls(PC), Critical Quality Points(CQP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points(HACCP), and Safe Quality Food(SQF) plans. This is not an all-inclusive list.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in human resources or related field of study.
2 - 5 years of human resources experience directly in or supporting a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Union manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Strong proactive planning, communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills
Physical Setting
Job Setting: plant office, production floor, occasional hybrid work, optional with majority of time spent at plant site, travel between plants up to 30% of the time.
