A medical manufacturing client is looking to hire a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This person will be responsible for process capability, cost reduction and continuous improvement project implementation within their designated manufacturing unit and will support capacity planning and growth, as well as define budgeted rates and process documentation.
Duties of Role:
Implements and sustains Excellence work process for the manufacturing unit.
Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of standards
Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit.
Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness performance.
Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized Overall Equipment Effectiveness losses, and quality events and deviations.
Ensures safety of all associates and quality of product.
Ensures new manufacturing processes and process improvements meet Manufacturing Unit objectives.
Ensures equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
Analyzes current state of equipment efficiency to drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness improvement and sustainability.
Experience Required: • 3 years manufacturing experience • 2 yrs Medical manufacturing experience • Associates Degree or Bach Degree in Electro-mechanical/ Mechatronics or related field is ideal • In lieu of Degree, 5 years technical manufacturing experience is required
