Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in the Washington DC Metro area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing metrics dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI and a strong understanding of the broader Microsoft Power Platform. This is a full-time role that requires onsite presence 2-3 days a week for the first three months or so of the project, with the potential for a flexible arrangement thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to meet business needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
Utilize the broader Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
Solve complex business problems with innovative and creative data visualization solutions.
Translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand insights for a non-technical audience.
Work independently while collaborating effectively within a team setting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI: Demonstrated expertise in developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations for business insights.
Experience with Power Platform: Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse is a plus.
Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to design effective, creative solutions to business challenges.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-Motivation and Independence: A proactive approach to work, with the ability to function effectively with minimal supervision.
Location & Availability: Must be based in the Washington DC Metro area and available to work onsite 2-3 days per week for the initial 3+ months of the project.
Security Clearance: Possession of a current CAC or security clearance is strongly preferred.
