We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple furniture product development projects from concept to launch. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consumer product goods (CPG) and project management, coupled with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, international suppliers, and manufacturers. This role requires exceptional communication skills, efficiency with Microsoft Project, and a strong background in project management methodologies.
This is how you can contribute to our success (Responsibilities):
Lead end-to-end project management for new furniture product development cycles, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables using Smartsheets and any other new software implemented.
Schedule and lead project kickoff meetings, status updates, and reviews to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement contingency plans as needed.
Work closely with internal teams, including design, marketing, sales, and operations, to align project goals and deliverables and to resolve any issues/delays in project launches.
Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency.
Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones, and potential challenges.
Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
Qualifications/Functional/Technical Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in project management, business, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within consumer product goods (CPG), ideally in furniture or related industries.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheets and other project management tools.
Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and supply chain processes.
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is strongly preferred.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage international relationships.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Hands-on experience working with international teams, suppliers, and manufacturers, including knowledge of import/export processes.
Awareness of cultural nuances and the ability to navigate global business environments effectively.
Experience in the furniture industry or home goods sector.
