Job Description:

Interior and Product Designer is seeking an exceptional Assistant / Office Manager with a unique opportunity to be part of a creative process. You will be the point person for the principal and the firm, and the position requires someone who can wear many hats and does not get easily overwhelmed. We are looking for an individual who wants an exciting long-term position. Position includes but is not limited to:

Office Administration:

-Organize and schedule speaking engagements, appearances, travel and maintain the office calendar.

-Assist the owner and business manager with light bookkeeping and reconciling credit card statements, input and track billable time, issue invoices, accounting reports, etc. Some knowledge of an accounting or billing program is a plus.

-Control inventory of office and design supplies.

-Assist with corporate and employee state and federal paperwork and filing.

-Liaison with our IT and phone consultant and expedite hardware and software as needed.

-Assist in managing and creating social media content.

-Manage Outlook list of vendors, clients etc.

-Oversee minor home and auto maintenance and personal tasks for the principal.,

-Experience with produce or material purchasing a plus.

Interior Design / Product Development:

-Team management of the office, design consultants and employees.

-Assist with recruitment of new employees or consultants.

-Participate in project pricing, budgeting, procuring samples and selections, etc.

-Participate in creating and organizing power point presentations of products and indexing of documents and computer files.

-Manage indexing and organization of project and product design documents and computer files.

Marketing:

-Participate in writing and submitting media interview and speaking engagement requests.

-Liaison with our PR agency or collaborating partner's PR agency to provide images, content, etc. for media needs.

-Direct the needs of shows, events or with media for the owner's appearances including promotion.

-Biannual web site updates with our website manager

-Manage the creation of presentations in power point or other programs

Skills & Capabilities:

-Superb knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong typing, written, and verbal communication skills.

-Be enviably organized and take considerable pride in your work.

-Enjoy the excitement of ever-changing tasks and flexibility of varying priorities and deadlines.

-Have the energy to multi-task with ease and a strong memory for information and details.

-Have reliable transportation and ability to assist with deliveries to clients, vendors, etc.

-Be able to lift items such as samples, small furniture pieces, and other design materials (approx. 40 lbs.)

-Carry a professional demeanor and be personable, especially for direct communications with our clients and product collaborators

-Know there are no problems - only solutions.

-Have flexibility to be able to travel if needed to trade shows, lectures or media appearances with the owner. Examples are Las Vegas, Dallas, North Carolina and New York.

This position is in person in West Hollywood, CA and not a remote position. Includes:

-$250 a month towards health insurance

-11 Paid Holidays annually

-3 paid personal days annually

-5 sick days annually
