Job Description:

Spartan Capital Group has partnered with our growing Healthcare Client in their search for a Director of Budgeting and Financial Planning. This full-time, onsite leadership role offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience plus a bonus up to 20%. The ideal candidate will have strong financial leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, as well as expertise in financial systems optimization.

This role provides the opportunity to oversee financial planning activities for a portfolio of properties and support leadership teams to drive strong business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will lead financial planning initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Core responsibilities include:
  • Directing the annual budgeting process and overseeing monthly and quarterly forecasts across multiple business units.
  • Managing cash flow operations, including capital planning, contributions, and distributions.
  • Leading implementation and optimization of financial systems to improve reporting and forecasting efficiency.
  • Providing financial analysis and support to leadership teams, including Regional Directors and community managers.
  • Collaborating with operations and executive leadership to align financial goals with business strategy.
  • Delivering insights through key financial metrics, variance analysis, and sensitivity reporting.
  • Supporting special projects, reporting initiatives, and financial performance reviews as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CPA/CFA/MBA) preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Industry experience in senior housing, hospitality, real estate, or multifamily is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Vena, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
  • Key Competencies:
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
