The Sheet Metal HVAC Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation, fabrication, and maintenance of HVAC systems and sheet metal components. This role involves supervising a team of technicians and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. The foreman acts as a key liaison between the project manager, clients, and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight
Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC ductwork, equipment, and related systems.
Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accuracy in execution.
Plan and coordinate daily tasks, ensuring the team meets project milestones.
Team Supervision
Supervise and mentor sheet metal workers, installers, and apprentices.
Delegate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
Provide training and guidance to improve team skills and safety awareness.
Quality Control
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, local codes, and industry standards.
Address and resolve installation or fabrication issues promptly.
Safety Management
Enforce adherence to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Material Management
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of tools, materials, and equipment.
Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage and use of materials.
Client and Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to align on timelines and requirements.
Communicate with clients regarding progress, changes, or concerns.
