Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects in the Dallas, TX area. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a proven track record of delivering complex commercial projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership:
  • Lead project teams through all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
  • Develop and implement project strategies to meet client objectives, budget constraints, and schedule requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  1. Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions to avoid delays.
  • Lead regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with goals.
  1. Budget and Financial Management:
  • Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Oversee project costs, forecasts, and change orders while maintaining transparency with clients.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices, payments, and contracts.
  1. Risk and Quality Management:
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to address challenges proactively.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, safety requirements, and contract specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to project goals and industry best practices.
  1. Team Management:
  • Oversee and mentor project managers, project engineers, and on-site teams.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on accountability, communication, and performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
  1. Client and Stakeholder Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring project satisfaction and future opportunities.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure all client requirements and expectations are met or exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes, and materials.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Texas building codes, local regulations, and permitting processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, retail, or office spaces.
  • LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices.
  • Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMAA (Certified Construction Manager) are a plus.
