Job Overview:
As a Special Procedure Technologist working in the Catheterization (Cath) Lab, you will operate under the direct supervision of a physician, providing essential cardiovascular and radiologic care to patients. Your role is critical in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiovascular and related physiological conditions. You'll ensure the highest standards of patient care, uphold radiation safety protocols, and maintain the operational readiness of the lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab.
Perform specialized imaging techniques to visualize and treat anatomic and physiologic disorders.
Maintain and operate state-of-the-art imaging equipment while ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety standards.
Monitor patient vital signs, record data, and document procedures accurately.
Ensure patient comfort and safety, providing clear instructions and support throughout the procedure.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other technicians to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Valid Oregon Radiographer License at the time of hire.
National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures Lab.
