Job Overview:
The Distribution Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth flow of distribution operations and supports process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy. This role focuses on ensuring timely and effective distribution processes, especially during peak periods, by managing data analysis, handling technical issues with EDI integrations, and providing team redundancy to cover time off and prevent backlogs.
Location:
Strongly prefer Austin, Texas or Los Angeles, California area.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close Support: Ensure that month-end close activities remain on schedule, even during surge months, to meet financial and operational deadlines.
EDI Integration Support: Address and manage issues related to incomplete or delayed EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integrations, facilitating more timely implementation and minimizing disruptions.
Team Redundancy and Coverage: Provide additional support to the team, allowing for seamless continuity during team members' time off and vacations, reducing the risk of backlogs and maintaining operational flow.
Distribution Data Analysis: Analyze distribution data to identify patterns and opportunities for improved efficiency in shipping, warehousing, and fulfillment.
Reporting and Insights: Develop and present regular performance reports and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements within the distribution function and recommend solutions to enhance overall productivity and efficiency.
Retail Purchase Order Fulfillment: Assists with processing retail purchase orders, routing/scheduling, fulfillment and invoicing.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience and a strong understanding of distribution and supply chain processes, with experience in month-end close support.
Knowledge of EDI integrations and ability to troubleshoot related issues.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
