LOCATION
This is a remote role, prefers candidate in central and/or pacific time zones.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under remote supervision from Risk Manager, the Risk & Insurance Generalist supports all activities of the Risk Department including administrative tasks for primary casualty liability insurance with a specific mission of claims management for Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto and General Liability claims.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coordinates and collaborates with each facility's T&C and Safety Team to ensure effective management of WI's WC claim, medical treatment progress, expected return to work and other important priorities for each location and/or situation.
Perform administrative tasks and support for primary casualty insurance programs including, but not limited to Certificates of Insurance (COI), vehicle insurance cards, questions regarding coverage, claims reporting, and general claims process.
Provide communication and coordination of priorities with Risk Manager to support company objectives.
Analyze current status/performance for different risk areas and recommend specific actions that will produce measurable change.
Respond to and/or manage the process for other claims such as Commercial Auto and General Liability.
Improve effectiveness of early claims decision-making including claim validity and/or review of possible fraudulent or exaggerated claims.
Ensure new claims are successfully launched and IWs are connected to the T&C, Safety, Risk and CSS/Travelers Team and understand the WC process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in relevant business field or four (4) years' equivalent work-related experience
Two (2) years experience as a workers' compensation claims adjuster
Two (2) years experience in commercial insurance processes including policy renewal, documentation, compliance and administration of certificates of insurance, auto insurance cards and other insurance activities.
License/Certifications
Formal training and/or certification in Workers' Compensation such as Certified Worker's Compensation Specialist (CWCA).
Preferred Qualifications
General Insurance certifications (i.e. Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
Fluency (written and spoken) in both English and Spanish.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and processes in state of hire.
Understanding of concepts of insurable risk, commercial business insurance, insurance structures and coverage with support of company insurance broker.
Ability to identify complex problems, review information to develop and evaluate options then implement solutions
Proven organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines in a fast-paced environment while presenting a professional demeanor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Remote position preferably based in Central or Western United States.
Ability to travel for training during first year as well as travel to work with local T&C and Safety Teams (up to twice per year).
Area in home from which to work.
