We seek an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team in a fast-paced pressure vessel fabrication facility. This role involves performing inspections using various NDT techniques (PT, MT, UT) according to company and customer specifications, focusing on ASME and structural inspections of Pressure Vessels. The ideal candidate will maintain high compliance standards, oversee quality processes, and effectively communicate inspection findings to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Pressure Vessel Inspections
Ensure compliance with company and industry safety standards in all Pressure Vessel inspection activities.
Perform inspections using NDT methods: PT, MT, and UT, ensuring product and process quality.
Investigate customer complaints and collaborate with engineering and management to enhance product quality, incorporating new designs, manufacturing, and training methods.
Inspect raw materials, welds, and finished products throughout manufacturing to uphold quality standards.
Prepare quality and NCR documentation and reports, analyzing data on failed processes, corrective actions, recalls, and re-validations.
To meet specification requirements, assist with maintaining and updating Quality Assurance Manuals, ASME QC Manuals, and other pertinent documentation.
Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement to management, proposing actionable solutions.
Complete calibration of measuring, testing, and welding equipment to ensure accurate performance.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Quality Inspection experience of Pressure Vessels in a fabrication environment.
5+ years of experience with relevant codes and regulations (AWS and ASME).
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Knowledge of inspection and measuring tools, welding, machining, and metal fabrication processes.
Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
Experience with coding (NACE Level 1) and hydro charge/hydro travelers.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED is required; certifications are a plus.
