Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing and project-based accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and cost analysis, with a focus on supporting operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting, manages multiple priorities, and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record financial transactions related to assets, liabilities, and profits and losses.
  • Account Reconciliation: Verify and reconcile financial records, including matching records with bank statements, to ensure accuracy.
  • Invoice Management: Prepare and process invoices for clients and vendors, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Audit Preparation: Organize and prepare required documentation for external auditors.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to recommend cost reduction strategies and revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Financial Close Support: Contribute to monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Special Financial Reports: Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested by senior managers to support strategic decision-making.
  • Payroll Processing: Perform payroll functions, including time and attendance tracking, and assist with light HR-related duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or project-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with California labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements is an advantage.
