Position Overview:
We are looking for tech-savvy applicants who have a passion for improving the electrical grid, has experience and knowledge about Infrared Thermography and Partial Discharge - two key techniques to identify problems at an early stage - before equipment failure. The Technical Program Manager will include hands-on technical work, developing programs, and guiding both internal teams and clients to ensure electrical equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical expert in Infrared Thermography and partial discharge testing to advise teams and clients.
Develop and implement standardized procedures for inspections, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Conduct inspections and analyze the condition of various electrical systems and components.
Train and mentor technicians on inspection techniques, data interpretation, and reporting.
Collaborate with Product Management on new services and improvements.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate advancements into practices.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for enhancing program delivery efficiency.
Support sales teams with training and customer engagement related to inspection services.
Provide remote support for technicians facing field challenges and conduct post-inspection reviews.
Analyze inspection data to identify potential issues and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, reliability engineering, or related field.
Level I Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Level I Infrared Thermography certifications.
Proficiency in electrical inspection equipment and understanding of electrical systems in industrial settings.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with leadership experience preferred.
Experience with technical reporting software and proficiency in MS Office tools.
Work Conditions:
Hybrid work eligibility, with approximately 25% outdoor fieldwork and 75% office-based work.
Exposure to live electrical substation environments.
Travel up to 30% of the time may be required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Regular exposure to electrical environments, requiring safety adherence.
