Compensation: $25 per hour and two weeks of paid vacation

Young Women's Wellness and Leadership Initiative (YWWLI):
The Young Women's Wellness and Leadership Initiative (YWWLI) trains young 14-18-year-old East African women and other women of color to take the lead in their health and well-being, gain policy and advocacy skills, and create social media advocacy campaigns to address skin-lightening practices, self-esteem and promote reproductive health. YWWLI will give them a safe space to flourish, re-discover, and explore parts of their health and wellness that they have not yet tapped into due to social and economic limitations. Each cohort will meet weekly for 18 weeks and conclude with a retreat. YWWLI will also include one-on-one mentorship for young women and will provide sustainable mentorship once they complete the program.
Job Summary:
As a Youth Program Manager, you will play an important role in our organization by leading the Young Women's Wellness and Leadership Initiative (YWWLI). Your responsibilities will include program planning and management of the program. Coordinate and manage the program's day-to-day activities and develop healthy relationships with the young girls and their parents. Manage ongoing recruitment of the YWWLI program participants and mentors. Manage ongoing relationships with schools and communities. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Director to achieve program goals. Maintains a positive and professional work environment.
Responsibilities:
.Collaborate with community partners to promote public health initiatives • Program planning and management • Coordinate and manage day-to-day activities of the Young Women's Wellness and Leadership Initiative (YWWLI) • Prepare, design, and facilitate the 18 weeks of the YWWLI sessions using the established YWWLI curriculum. • Develop healthy relationships with the young girls and their parents • Recruit the young girls from public or charter schools and in communities, select them, and onboard them into the 18-week cohort-based learning • Recruit mentors and guest speakers • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to achieve program goals • Monitoring program activities and preparing reports • Manage ongoing relationships with schools and communities • Maintains a positive and professional work environment
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's Degree completed, Master Degree in progress
. Prior experience working with youth and program management
.Experience working with diverse populations
.Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire youth participants
.Public health knowledge: Understanding of public health principles and practices
